Florida Atlantic Climbing Wall
Florida Atlantic University is proud to host the only climbing center in all of Palm Beach County. Our outdoor facility has an inclined bouldering wall and a 30 foot tall rock wall. Our rock wall is full of exhilarating features and routes built for any climber from beginner to expert. Certified belay masters are present to guide you up and down our wall while answering any climbing questions you might have out at the course. All climbing gear, including harnesses and carabiners, are included in the cost of your membership

Climbing Center Pricing
Students, FAU gym members, and all community members (non-students) are welcomed in our climbing center!

Students: Must be registered for classes to climb FREE of charge. Make sure to bring your Owl Card or be able to provide your Z-number.

Gym Members: Make sure to provide your membership card or membership number.

Climbing Center Requirements
Participant Requirements:
- All participants must fill out and sign an Informed Consent/Release of Liability once per semester.
- All participants are required to wear closed-toed shoes (no flip flops, crocs, etc.).
- Participants must be a currently enrolled FAU student, a member of the Recreation and Fitness Center, or have purchased a climbing day pass or month pass in order to participate in open climb programming.
- Participants who are pregnant will not be allowed to participate in any climbing elements.
- No one under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or impairing legal drugs will be allowed to participate.
- Participants must abide by all challenge course staff directions and follow all established safety procedures and spotting regulations.
- Participants may not smoke.
- All attendees must be 18 years of age.

Fequently Asked Questions:
You must be 18 or older to climb.
If you are younger than 18 and have a parent with you, you are still not eligible to climb in our center.
Equipment including ropes, harnesses, helmets, belay devices, and anchors are provided. You may use your own shoes, harness and helmet; however, you assume all liability resulting from its use. Personal ropes are not allowed.
We do not provide any chalk.
Yes! . Family members can come to watch. They will have to sign a release of liability and will not be allowed to climb unless they purchase a climbing pass. Family members under the age of 18 are not allowed in the climbing center.
Our staff does not sell passes on site. You can use your phone and access FAU Marketplace website to purchase daily passes. Monthly passes must be purchased at the membership office during office hours. Monday – Friday from 11am – 7 p.m.
No . Only FAU Climbing Staff and participants wearing Belay Tags are eligible to belay climbers. Belay Tags will be issued to participants who have successfully demonstrated belay skills. Belay Tags must be visibly displayed on your harness.
No . Each participant must buy their own climbing pass.
