An FAU researcher and his colleagues examined who accesses the dark web using survey data from a national sample of 1,750 U.S. adults. They focused on factors known to influence criminal behavior, including prior criminal history, low self-control, associations with peers who engage in cyber deviance, and attitudes favorable to crime and online rule breaking.

The President’s Gala raised more than $2.5 million for community and nonprofit internships that are currently unpaid, as well as for housing scholarships to help students navigate the high cost of living off campus.

FAU Libraries Hosts the Herbert Group Collection at MacArthur Campus

Florida Atlantic University Libraries at the John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter is now home to the Herbert Group Collection, honoring the generosity and lifelong vision of Herbert Group. This extraordinary collection, consisting of more than 3,500 Holocaust books and publications, preserves the memory of history while inspiring students, researchers and the community for generations to come.

You can apply to Florida Atlantic starting on August 1 before your 12th grade year.

Florida Atlantic offers Early Action.

There is no live-on requirement for students attending the Boca Raton Campus. This does not apply to students attending the Wilkes Honors College. As we no longer have a live-on requirement, if you want to live on campus, you should apply early as housing does fill quickly.

Florida Atlantic offers more than 300 student organizations, with everything from intramural sports to music ensembles to fraternities and sororities! All student organizations are listed on OwlCentral. Each semester, students have the opportunity to meet and sign up for organizations during Owl Involved, a club fair held the first week of the semester.

We love visitors, and offer a variety of ways for prospective students and families to visit campus, including:
A virtual tour, which offers views of classrooms, laboratories, residence halls, and more
• In-person tours, which are offered Monday through Friday and on select Saturdays; advance registration is required
The main Boca Raton campus is located at 777 Glades Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33431. Tours begin at the Student Support Services Building (SU-80).

First-year students can choose from traditional residence halls with suite-style accommodations. All first-year housing includes meal plans and is located near academic buildings and campus resources. Housing assignments are made based on application date and preferences.
