The mission of Florida Atlantic University’s compliance and ethics office is to assist the university in achieving its financial, operational and strategic goals, while promoting compliance with all institutional policies as well as federal and state laws and regulations.
The office provides oversight of compliance-related activities including the development of an effective university-wide compliance and ethics program to prevent, detect, monitor, and respond to areas of non-compliance as well as promote a culture of ethics, compliance, risk mitigation, and accountability.
To better assist responsible units in meeting these compliance obligations, the Matrix includes:

- the division, department, or unit responsible,
- due date(s),
- a brief summary of each requirement (if available), and
- information related statutes, regulations, and resources (if available).
Please note that the compliance obligations included in the Matrix are not exhaustive and may be updated periodically to reflect changes in laws, regulations, and internal responsibilities.
