Residents and Fellows are encouraged to assess themselves through  Psychiatry.org for burnout and/or depression.

Physician Wellness Program

The Physician Wellness Program (PWP) is available to all Residents/Fellows as part of their enrollment in the Palm Beach County Medical Society at no additional cost. PWP clinical psychologists and licensed clinical social workers can be reached for confidential counseling through the 24/7 support website.  Visit the PWP website for participating therapists

FAU Counseling and Psychological Services

FAU Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides crisis/urgent intervention services to Residents/Fellows. See the  CAPS webpage  for more details and other local and national crisis resources.

Florida Atlantic Medical Group

Residents and Fellows are encouraged to take advantage of Florida Atlantic Medical Group, the University-operated primary care physician practice in Boca Raton offering adult primary care and preventive health services. The Medical Group is conveniently located in the Galen Medical Building, 880 NW 13th St., in Boca Raton across from the FAU Boca Raton campus.  The Medical Group accepts insurance from traditional Medicare Part B and other major insurance plans such as Florida Blue and United Healthcare. Employee Assistance Program

As part of your employment with FAU, the Employee Assistance Program is administered through AETNA and provides confidential services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
