It was offered through nine full-day lectures over three weeks in Summer 2016.

Publications

Demos Related to Articles

  • Privacy-Preserving Coordinations Among Drones: Demo of the Drones' Actions. The secure multiparty computation (MPC) protocols are executed on each drone independently without relying on a trusted third party and drones communicate through private point-to-point channels. The code executions on the monitor is just for the purpose of visualization so that the viewers can see what is happening among drones.

  • Trust in Self-Driving Cars: Sample of SDC 360-degree Video. This video is a 360-degree video on a 2D YouTube video. When human subjects watch these videos in our virtual reality headset, they cannot see the entire 360-degree scene, due to the field of view (FOV), unless they turn their heads to the left and right. The driver is also invisible, replicating a self-driving car, since he is on the opposite side and outside of the FOV.

  • Malicious Attacks on Robots: Demo of the Simulated Attacks. Note that the prosthetic arm controller is intentionally programmed to deviate from the commands sent by the human subjects' hands and fingers.
